lets, be honest with yourself, have you ever asked yourself – what is the real purpose of life, you see most people waste their talents, squandered their creativity, and restricted themselves from achieving their dream life. Simply because they listened to the advice of society.
It might sound too good to be true.
from my own life experience, I can say that a specific purpose in life comes only when you have tasted enough things with constant trials and errors. A purpose in life can be simple and varies from person to person, therefore while pursuing your true mission in life, you should always remember that your path is separate and you shouldn’t follow others. Let’s learn from a real-life example
Society’s advice is like a herd if you follow them you will lead in mediocrity and disaster.
Not kidding. I would make this even funnier. An incident happened to me a few months ago, you know relative and family in India are too concerned about job security. People here will give everything just to get a safe and secure job even if there is no growth opportunity.
Astonished. Let me tell you more.
I will not lie, I used to have the same mentality years ago, but thankfully I changed.
everything I am telling you is from my experience and you can relate with me as you read. I visited a family gathering and everyone around my age was talking about jobs that give security and a stable life.
After reading tons of books and gaining a bit of knowledge from all the influential people, I was already in a mindset of not stabling my life. I wanted to do something more, I wanted to create something of my own. I was that one odd one out among everyone.
One asked me “What are your plans for the future”?
I was expecting that question. “I want to open my own company and probably will do the things I enjoy and love, I proudly said. Their faces looked confused? What did you just say? you are going to open a company of your own?
Are you crazy, if you fail and there will be no one to back up — one of them said A calm mumbling scrambled around me, and I felt “screw them”?
“I don’t want to spend the rest of my life doing something that I don’t enjoy and which don’t add any values in my life”.
“There is only one life” and everyone is going to die someday, so why not take some risk and make few sacrifices in order to get something we love and enjoy — I said.
Their faces turned pale, I was not expecting that. Anyways that family gathering did not go too well and I laughed after coming home.
How society kills creativity?
have you ever seen school these days?, they literally kills creativity.
Our society nowadays is ruining the creativity of kids. Everyone is trained to be like robots, doing a repetitive task. Getting grades, and without finding their strengths kids are forced to focus more on their weaknesses. “If you judge a fish’s ability to climb a tree”, then that would not be a fair thing to do.
what school doesn’t teach you
School doesn’t teach you many things in Life, some of the things are listed below that I think are not taught on schools.
- How to communicate with other people
- How to start your own business
- cooperating with failures in life
- how to learn from mistakes
- building a successful mindset
- planning and organizing life
- understanding why we live.
these all insightful questions you should ask yourselves daily in search of your deepest strengths.
you have to admit it that schools and college will never teach you how to find your purpose in life.
I have been in the same situation and I am thankful that I got the opportunity to explore the hidden secrets of life and understand what is the real purpose of life. I used to read books on people who have influenced humanity, I read a book on philosophies and life-changing principle.

find out the most important thing in your life
your life goal truly breaks down into those things that are most important to you. Life is too short to stay mediocre doing things that you don’t like or enjoy. Listen, sometimes it is hard, I admit it will not be an easy process. But if you are mad about the things you want in your life then you have to do the things you have never done. Finding out the most important thing in your life is really important
therefore I have broken it down-
- First, write down the top 10 things that you love or your wild hobbies.
- Now, try the top 5 things.
- Analyze the results and experience in a journal or sheet
- Now, select which one would be best for you
Things that excite you the most and you enjoy should be given the top priority.
What gets me excited about
The next thing comes down to the things that you enjoy. I have seen people who hate their jobs and they admit it, but they are not willing to change themselves for their dreams. They use to say that
- “Probably I am too old”,
- “I am not good enough”,
- “I don’t have the required skills”
and so on, If you have the mentality then I am telling you that “You are never going to succeed in pursuing your dreams”.If you truly want something just take the first step, don’t think about the failures and mistakes.Time will never be right, take actions, and accept your weaknesses. Society will point out your weaknesses more, but focusing on them won’t help. Point out your strengths and things that make you feel good and just start.
Are your purpose helping the world
whatever you are truly pursuing in life should come with a purpose for humanity.
don’t make money your sole purpose because at the end of the day when things start to get a bit difficult then alone money cannot be the prime motivator, make you purpose seems larger and more meaningful so that even at the initial phase when you don’t excavate much money the good purpose you have will keep you going.
let it be a legacy, not just an existence. Make a small difference in the world with your qualities. out of all the people of the world, do something that makes you different, and I believe it is easy because you are already “Different”.
Bad reasons for pursuing your passion —
there are things that you should never do, if you want to start anything in your life, don’t just do it
- just to be Famous
- Only for money
- For getting the easy way
- for quick results
- Chasing multiple things at a time
Be truly committed to your goals, things won’t come easy but you have to love the process of getting through your dreams.
