there are many Mistakes To Avoid In Your 20s and just a few years ago I just got out of school, a bunch of confusion surrounded my head. To be really honest, I did not really know “Why I was attending school” —Probably to get a degree or get good grades.

That was the main motto for going to school daily. But, Is that the right approach?

how on earth would a 17-year-old boy know about that, teachers used to taught us that mistakes are bad, some of us are regarded a “Slow learners”. In the end, I gave my final examination and got out of school and things started to get worse.

I felt like, I have been robbed and my freedom is completely taken away. It sounds funny, but it isn’t. I did not know, which direction to go in life. You know that school generalizes our mind in such a way that you never really get the time to choose what you really love. In other words, I was confused about what I am about to do with my life.

What is passion in my life?

I really have no idea about it at that time. Have you felt something like this? Comment below.

With constant learning and trial and errors, I have found out that passion simply means doing something that gives you peace of mind and a sense of inner satisfaction. A good example of passion can be steve jobs, who was obsessed about building apple, similarly, you can also apply the power of passion in your own life. When you follow your passion your work becomes a play. ( As explained below ).

what school doesn’t teach you

A school is a place where students are being distinguished based on the same criteria. in other words “a fish is judged based on his ability to climb a tree”. School Don’t Teach you real Life skills.

The slow learner is a myth masked by the principles taught in schools. There are many students who might be good at drawing or singing, but right after schools due to peer pressure quits their passion and wanders like a ship without direction.

although school might be necessary it is not important. Focus on finding your true self, which can only be excavated by trial and error. Choose your wild hobbies and start taking action. But there is something more in life than just schools and colleges,

1. Not caring about health.

Your health should be given the top priority in the early stage of Life. Managing health is vital in your 20s because , the more active your body and mind is the more you will be able to work better.

The stress that comes from poor health is threatening and when you are facing a health challenge, it affects so many areas of your life. Daily tasks become more challenging, health expenses can pile up, and your ability to earn a living can even be in jeopardy. Therefore, start focusing on your health from the early stage of your life.

Maintain a healthy diet

eat healthy foods that can add up the necessary nutrients in your body.

  • Eat vegetables and fruit.
  • Consume bread and cereals.
  • Died products.
  • lean meats, chicken, seafood, eggs, legumes, nuts and seeds can be a good addition.

2. Not taking risks

Your early life is for taking big challenges and making mistakes and learning from it. Your early life should be dedicated to trying new different things and identifying which one works for you instead of just running for the money. Your early life, you might get money from a job but you will have to give the opportunity cost. In other words the loss of other alternatives when one alternative is chosen. While chasing money you might miss a big opportunity that could have entirely changed your life.

Try something different, think out of the box, and if the fear of failure bugs you and you are afraid to lose something then. and remember,

3. Not investing in yourself

in your early days should be spent on learning and improving yourself. Instead of spending time on short term enjoyment, use the same time, and invest in learning something new or different, that will make a better impact in the long term.

Meet with influential people, attend seminars and events, try to communicate and network with people who are already successful.

4. Not reading after school

most of us are drawn to mediocrity, not because of our situation or other external factor but it is because we stop learning just after we graduate from schools or college. We rarely touch books and read the biographies of the most influential people in the world.

5.Not traveling enough

Creativity is developed when one allows their mind to try new things and visit new places. Exploring new places, cultures, and understanding the behaviours of people in different places can unlock a unique idea inside of you. Imagination is the key to the creation of vivid utilities in this world.

You can be the one to create something different, therefore explore new places, meet new people, allow your mind to wanders, and screams its deepest desires.

Travelling makes you a sound and a mature human being. Travelling builds you into a sensible person. Travelling assists you to explore and eradicate your fears. Travelling encourages you to explore your inner self and helps in healing from the past because you tend to meet people from different places with different stories.

6.Caring About people’s opinion

This is perhaps one of the most important factors that you need to focus on. At a young age, your mind is immature, and you tend to care too much of what people will say.

in the long term, what people say rarely matter. If you truly believe in something then it is better to start it.

right? Do you still think that you are that important for them that they will keep staring at you?. In other words, “No one care” people just need ways to spice things up, the moment they laugh at you, they will forget you minutes after that. So, Don’t act like a Romeo, You are not. Do things that you love without caring what they say.

7.Buying unnecessary things

Buying things that you don’t need to show people that you don’t like. Stop doing this. This age is for exploring and learning about money and financial stuff, as you know that school does not teach you that. So, why waste money on things that don’t compound.

Remember there is a gap between Desire and Need, first identify which one is your desire and which is your need.

8. Not Mastering a skill

As I told earlier that in the early stages of life people get confused and lack direction in life. That is completely okay. But, to find what you love doing or what interests you the most is a far better solution. Therefore, search for the growing skills in the market and try them, see which one works for you, and keep growing those skills.

No, matter what you do in your life, you need unique skills that set you different. You gain the ability to do something well because you practice it several times. You also achieve a level of expertise in a particular field of knowledge you’ve identified as important to you. And, you have the ability to use that knowledge effectively in whatever you choose to do, This is what mastering a skill looks like.

9.Chasing money

I see this all the time, just coming of school and college students stuck on the race. They don’t think about the long term. Comment yes if you have made this mistake.

Although there is nothing wrong with chasing money but finding the quickest way to get it is bad. money should not be your primary goal in this age, try to gain some expertise in a domain and learn from successful people about life and money, and when you are an expert in a skill you can definitely charge money for it. 10.Getting into addiction

Weeds, cigarettes, drugs, and whatnot. Most Young People don’t look cool doing this. Things like this distract you from a clear vision towards life, you get stuck in addictions and which costs you heavily in the long run. Addiction amongst youth causes devastating consequences within families and societies worldwide, one of which is the tragic loss of young life due to drug overdoses.

Drug and alcohol use are also amongst the leading causes of youth crime, as well as a leading factor in suicide and homicide amongst young people. Be Cautious because, life is a long term game, and there is no short cut for that.
